A leading California law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant for its San Francisco office. The role supports a dynamic, fast-paced civil litigation team and calls for someone who can work independently while staying tightly coordinated with attorneys and staff.

The Legal Assistant will prepare correspondence, legal documents, and pleadings, and will electronically file and serve documents in state and federal courts. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, arranging travel, handling a high volume of phone and email inquiries, and maintaining client and case files in the firm’s document management system. The position also involves proofreading, creating charts and graphs, preparing trial binders and presentations, and working with attorneys and Finance to process vendor payments and attorney expense reports.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or higher preferred) and at least three years of civil litigation experience in California state, federal, and appellate court. Experience supporting an IP practice and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program are pluses. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and professionalism are essential. This non-exempt, hybrid role requires five days onsite for the first 30 days, then four days onsite and one day remote. The base salary range is $90,000–$115,000.
